Discovering the Nature to find our true Leisure (yum1)

My definition of leisure is interacting with the environment to regain my energy and to relieve my stress. I explore the places where the environment is still wild, and by doing so I can refresh my exhausted body and soul. There are many fascination stories behind our environment, and one can find his or her true interests by discovering the secrets surrounding us. Leisure is not all about having a fun or doing something pleasurable, but it is also about developing oneself to be more productive by keep interacting with things around us such as the nature.

My Kind of Leisure (slee273)

Leisure, for me, is what one desires to do during the time available when he/she has no commitments to tend to. During my leisure time, I do whatever it is that I wish to do at that very moment. This very freedom to choose what I want to do during my free time is leisure in itself. Usually, my leisure time is spent alone to relax, or with my family, and/or my best friends. The leisure time I spend by myself or with my family and friends is usually occupied with relaxing, movies, eating, and/or shopping. Leisure time is valuable because it gives me the freedom to choose plan my own schedule or lack thereof.

 

Enjoying the Outdoors (abdulqu1)

My definition of leisure is doing enjoyable, relaxing, or active activities. Having this type of leisure in my opinion is a stress reliever. I picked this picture because I enjoy being in the outdoors.  Its really relaxing being outdoors because I can clear my mind and enjoy the sounds of nature. Also, I love doing active activities with my family in the outdoors.

My definition of leisure consists of an activity where one is actively involved, an activity that is fun to do, it is an activity where one is able to form memories and most importantly an activity that is enjoyed more if done with friends and loved ones. This image represents the leisure activity that I love engaging in. I enjoy having long walks and engaging as much as possible with nature itself, accompanied by my boyfriend as well with my closest relatives. This image represents long walks through a path of nature where not only am I able to relieve stress but also an activity that helps form a stronger bonds with my loved ones. To me this image represents a way to form unforgettable memories and a pleasurable way to enjoy nature.

In my eyes, leisure is all about a “getaway” or an “escape”, whether that be physically or mentally. It is about spending your time the way you want to spend it, without any cares or demands. This photograph of my brother, my sister, and myself was snapped in May of 2010 at the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland. I believe it accurately portrays me at leisure, because I am enjoying myself and am escaping the obligations and routines of everyday life. This photograph represents a feeling of relaxation, because we have taken some time for ourselves and have disregarded our responsibilities back home.
